Carly offers support, counselling, resources, advocacy, empowerment, and inspiration to youth and young adults living with epilepsy and/or seizure disorders through our Youth Empowerment Program and support groups.
Carly graduated as a Child and Youth Worker (CYW) in 2015, taking pride in offering an inclusive, empathetic, supportive environment and approach to all the individuals that cross her path by providing a safe space to be yourself, learn, grow, and accomplish your goals!
Carly’s past experiences include working as a CYW within schools as well as in the mental health field specializing in autism, psychiatric disorders, anxiety, and depression – all of which helps her clients today. Carly is a firm believer in using a strengths-based approach when interacting with clients and providing disability and trauma informed care.
As an epilepsy educator – Carly provides important education and seizure first aid training within the community and schools, coordinates the annual Family and Youth Conference, and is a certified memory coach for those with epilepsy.
If you are and young adult or youth with epilepsy, Carly would love to hear from you so that she can provide support, guide you, and cheer you on as you navigate your epilepsy journey as well as welcome you to a community of others who just “get it”. In Carly’s own words: “You are NOT alone!”
