Toronto, ON – November 1, 2024 – Epilepsy South Central Ontario, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals affected by seizure disorders, has received new signage for their central office. The previous signage had been damaged and vandalized. TPH (The Printing House™), a Canadian-owned print company with a long tradition of community support, stepped in to replace the signage, ensuring that vital funds could continue to focus on patient care rather than repairs.
According to Statistics Canada, epilepsy affects approximately 1 in 100 Canadians, yet it remains an under-researched neurological disorder. Individuals living with epilepsy often report a lower quality of life and greater use of healthcare services than those with other chronic conditions. More research is needed to better understand the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of seizures, as well as related conditions such as depression and anxiety.
Organizations like Epilepsy South Central Ontario play a critical role in raising awareness and providing the resources needed to support individuals and families affected by epilepsy. Their work helps ensure those living with the condition receive the care and understanding they need to navigate daily life.
